One of the Greatest Perks

One of the greatest perks of working in education is the SUMMER!! Oh sun, how I've missed you. Sleeping in? Yes please! A few months vacation from lesson planning, grading, and long commutes- I'll take it! Don't get me wrong- teaching and interpreting have been good. Happy to get first-year teaching behind me, but I'll miss my fun students these few months. Thrilled with the progress I've made with interpreting. Can't quite leave that one alone this summer. I'm an interpreting workshop nerd- I love them :) Interpreting is so fun. So here is my list of things to do this wonderful summer:

Interpreting camp

A bit of singing

Tonsil’s out (not one of the fun things. Boo.)

Zion’s trip with my awesome friends

Maybe take up swimming? A triathlon sounds intriguing. I’ve got the running and biking down. But that darn water… We’ll see.

Celebrate our 3 year anniversary (maybe Disneyland?)

Some camping and other outdoor adventures

Reading

Reading

And more reading! (I want to read all the Harry Potter books before this next movie comes out. Gotta get crackin!)

Yep, I think it’s gonna be a good one!

I’ve also got to give a shout-out to my wonderful, beautiful, all-grown-up little sister. She graduated last week! I can’t believe it. I still see her as 10 or something. Good job, Brit! I love you!

Isn't she the most beautiful girl you've ever seen? Holy Moly.
